Another weekend in the books, and this one felt like the sweetest transition into fall—filled with exciting news, neighborhood strolls, mountain drives, and plenty of couch time.

Friday started with a morning meeting at the office, but by lunchtime, I packed up to work from home for the rest of the day. We got some really exciting news earlier in the week, so an early celebratory dinner was in order!

We walked over to Inman Park and popped into Fritti, grabbing seats right by the bar. We shared pizza, a fresh salad, and apps, but my favorite discovery was that they had a Sarti Spritz on the menu. I’ve been slightly obsessed with them lately, so finding one made my night.

After dinner, we strolled over to Old Fourth Ward to check out the new speakeasy-style spot, Read the Room. It’s super vibey and intimate. I ordered an espresso martini with an orange twist, which balanced the rich coffee flavor so well. We sat at a table for a while, and around 9 PM they started clearing chairs to open up a dance floor for the DJ. It’s definitely on my list to revisit for a proper late-night drink!

We headed home and curled up on the couch to watch The Traitors. I’m honestly so excited for this season featuring everyday contestants instead of celebrities—it completely changes the dynamic.

Saturday: North Georgia Apple Picking & Rainy Afternoon Football

Saturday morning we were up early and made the drive up to R&A Orchards. Apple and flower picking have been on my fall bucket list for weeks! It was a bit of a haul, but so worth it to wander the rows, sample different varieties of apples, and soak up the fresh mountain air before the afternoon heat rolled in. Now I just need to decide what to bake first with all of our extra apples.

Sunday: Cereal Milk Lattes, Cricut Crafts & Evening Walks

Sunday was the ultimate reset day. We kicked things off with a long morning walk over to Ponce City Market and made our essential pit stop at The Salty. Big milestone: this was Luke’s second coffee ever! He went with the iced cereal milk latte, which turned out to be the perfect sweet gateway drink for someone just starting to like coffee. I’m loving that morning coffee runs have officially become a two-person routine.

The rest of the afternoon was dedicated to resetting our space: tackling some cleaning, working on a few Cricut projects, and alternating between Sunday football and catching up on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

We wrapped up the day with a quick grocery run, an easy homemade dinner, and a long evening walk through Inman Park with Murphy to get ready for the week ahead.
